Let’s get you oriented with the Start Page so you’re ready to dive into our tools with confidence and clarity.
The Start Page provides immediate access to Assistant, Smart Tables, and Report Builder.
Let's take a deeper dive into each element starting with the top left corner.
Hover over the Maven Bio icon in the top-left corner to view your name and access Account options, Workspaces, Keyboard Shortcuts, or log out of the app.
Account: this option leads to a new page where you can see account and plan related information
Edit my Account option can be used to edit/update your email and password or set up two factor authentication.
Research Credits show how much you've used tools like reports, smart tables, and the assistant.
Export Credits count how many rows you've downloaded from the database.
Workspace lets you preserve a distinct set of tabs and chats—ideal for switching between contexts without losing your place.
Clicking the Workspace option opens a window with a searchable list of past sessions—you can open or delete them directly from this view.
Right next to the Maven Bio logo, you’ll see the option to open a new workspace.
New workspace launches a new session, giving you a clean slate to explore data, run reports, or build smart tables—without affecting anything in your current workspace.
Think of it like opening a new browser window—independent, but easily accessible.
Quick Lookup icon enables fast search across all Maven Bio item types and work products, streamlining access to prior analyses (e.g., Smart Tables, Reports etc.) and item profiles (e.g., drugs, trials, companies etc.). It is designed for speed and minimal navigation.
The Watchlist icon gives you access to the monitoring tool within Maven Bio and helps you stay on top of what matters—all from one spot.
Tap the icon to:
View your existing Watchlists
Check event feeds and alerts
Create new Watchlists for tracking updates
The Support icon helps you resolve analysis or technical issues. Clicking the icon opens a chat window, where you can describe your problem and optionally attach a file to streamline issue resolution.
The + icon next to Start opens a new tab to support parallel workflows.
On the far right of the toolbar, you'll find two buttons:
The three horizontal lines icon opens a list of all tabs currently in use. From there, you can toggle between tabs, close them, or rearrange their order. This helps manage workflows when multiple tabs are active. A green dot marks the tab you're currently viewing.
Assistant Sidebar Toggle: Shows or hides the assistant panel for quick access to guidance without leaving the tab.
The top bar of the Assistant Sidebar (next to the toggle) includes the following tools:
Expand to Full Screen for immersive view
New Chat to start fresh
Past Workspace Chats to revisit previous interactions for reference or reuse
The bottom bar provides a search field, file upload options, and research mode setting.
You can also access the Maven Assistant from the center of the start page, alongside Smart Table, Report Builder, and your saved work—all ready to launch from one hub.

The bell icon next to Your Work captures all your notifications.
On the right side of Your Work, is a search bar to help you locate your past work. Apply the Type filter to narrow results—whether you're looking for a recent table or a report from weeks ago, it's all accessible.
You can choose between Cards and Table views to catalog your past work—whether you prefer to display it as compact rows or visual cards.
This is how your past work appears in Table view.
In Cards View, hovering over a card reveals a popup with its type, status, and last modified date. The delete option appears directly on the card as a button, while clicking the card opens the associated work for you.
The Start Page offers streamlined access to key tools and workflows, Maven Assistant, and past work. It centralizes everything you need to begin quickly, intuitively, without friction—helping you jumpstart productivity.
