Maven Assistant is built to handle a wide range of straightforward analytical tasks. The interface makes it easy to quickly initiate custom analyses.
You can direct the Assistant's research process using two approaches
Attaching Files and Work Items: This allows you to provide substantial context, helping the Assistant more effectively support your analysis
Tagging Items from Maven Bio's Database( Inline Tagging in Assistant): This helps direct the Assistant’s research by indicating which items it should focus on.
Attaching Files and Work Items
To attach an item (e.g., a previously created “Active Phase 2 Drugs for Alzheimer's Disease” or a target like “Cholinesterase”), begin by clicking the attach pin and typing the name of the table, list, or item into the search bar within the pop-up window. Matching entries will appear in a dropdown, allowing users to select the desired item and click Confirm to insert it into their analysis.
Users may also upload supporting files (each ≤ 2.5 MB) using the drop box as a part of their analysis. Supported file types include PDF, DOCX, PPTX, CSV, XLSX, TXT, and MD.
Inline Tagging in Assistant
Maven Bio supports inline tagging using “@” + item + space bar, allowing you to precisely reference drugs, reports, tables, companies, indications, blueprints, target, mechanism, and more within your query. This improves accuracy and reduces confusion when names overlap or sound similar.
Why Inline Tagging Helps: Inline tagging gives the Assistant exact grounding so your request is interpreted correctly.
Tagging items
While typing inside Assistant agent or chat:
Type @drug
Press space
This opens a selectable dropdown of all drugs in Maven Bio. Start typing the drug name and select it from the list. It will be inserted as a tag in your message.
Similarly, you can tag:
Reports
Smart Tables
All blueprints
Drugs
Companies
Targets
Indications
Mechanisms
You can upload up to five files, reference up to five items using @mentions from past work and/or Maven ontologies, or combine both methods for a total of five attachments
*The total combined limit for attachments is five.*
In summary, attaching files and items allows you to provide substantial context to the Assistant to allow it to more capability aid your analysis. Tagging items allows you to aid the Assistant's research by telling it which items it should focus its searches on.
