Maven Assistant is built to handle a wide range of analytical tasks. The interface allows users to quickly initiate custom analyses by entering natural language questions into the input box, making it easy to explore datasets or documents without needing technical query skills.
Users may upload up to five supporting files, each no larger than 2.5 MB, reference up to 5 specific items using @mentions.
The @mention feature lets you seamlessly reference both your past work and items the Maven Bio items such as drugs, companies, indications, targets, or mechanisms. Simply start typing the name of the table, list, or item you’d like to attach (e.g., A previously created table titled “Marketed Glioblastoma Drugs”), and matching entries will appear in a dropdown. Click on the desired item to instantly insert it into your analysis.

Once you have written your question, query, prompt, you can select from three processing modes—Fast, Advanced, or Max depending on whether speed, reasoning complexity, or analytical depth is the priority. Fast mode delivers quick, straightforward insights; Max mode is designed for nuanced, logic-heavy analysis.
This dynamic setup ensures that users can tailor the depth and pace of analysis to their needs, enabling both rapid information retrieval and in-depth evaluation.

When you click Attach, a new window opens where you can either select a table or list you've created—whether it's part of your own work or from the built-in Maven Ontologies—or import a new one.
You can select from the list on the left, drag and drop your file, or browse from your device. Accepted file formats include PDF, DOCX, PPTX, CSV, XLSX, TXT, and MD, giving you flexibility to incorporate a wide range of content.

Once a user submits their query, Maven Assistant initiates the analysis by outlining the research steps it’s taking in any of the three modes. It highlights key events reviewed and lists relevant sources, each with direct links for verification. It then evaluates and ranks the sources to surface the most appropriate results.

If the response includes a table, users can download it as a CSV file or copy its contents for further use.
