Building a Smart Table from a Blank Template

Start with a blank Smart Table when you have a specific list of drugs, companies, trials, or other entities to analyze.

When you already know which assets you want to compare (your coverage list, a set of competitor compounds, or companies from a recent conference), start with a blank table and add them directly. This is faster than filtering when you have a specific, curated list in mind.

Create a blank table

Click Smart Tables in the left toolbar, then select Start with a blank table. Choose the row type for your table: Drugs, Trials, Companies, Indications, Targets, or Mechanisms.

Add entities to the table

Click Add items (top-right or center of the screen) to open the entity picker. Search for and select the items you want to include. You can also use Import Table to bring in a list from a spreadsheet.

What you can do next

Once your entities are in the table, add AI Columns to enrich them with custom analysis, or use filters to refine the view.
